This unit taps signalling and/or voice channels from the connected E1/T1/J1. The units are hot swappable and you can add, remove or replace a probe without disturbing the taping for other probes. Every probe can monitor four E1/T1/J1 lines. The probe is running the Linux operating system with local processing of protocols, voice quality measurement etc.
Each physical link can individual be configured to run E1 or T1 speeds.
The probe has two (redundancy) 10/100mbit ethernet interfaces for connectivity to the Telemanagement server or other devices that need result from the probe.
Probes can be a single unit monitoring 4 duplex E1/T1/J1 lines or a 3U high rack mountable unit hosting 14 quad probes monitoring 56 duplex E1/T1/J1 lines.
