This unit taps signalling and/or voice channels from the connected E1/T1/J1. The units are hot swappable and you can add, remove or replace a probe without disturbing the taping for other probes. Every probe can monitor four E1/T1/J1 links. The probe is running the Linux operating system with local processing of protocols etc.
Each physical link can individual be configured to run E1 or T1 speeds.
Probes can be a single unit monitoring 4 E1/T1/J1 links or a 3U high rack mountable unit hosting 15 quad probes monitoring 60 E1/T1/J1 links.
Each probe can (optional) be configured with a NIQA Voice Quality Module. NIQA can calculate the ITU MOS score for voice calls. It will recognize network conditions and impairments due to: Low-bit rate speech codecs, mutes, VoIP, transcoding, noise, mobile network errors and clipping. It will also provide information about the SNR, speech level and noise level of a call.
NM Storage Unit (optional)
This unit capture and buffer the signalling protocol from the NM Quad E1/T1/J1 Probes for later analysis.
Network Monitoring server software
The software is a part of the Telemanagement platform. It is installed on the Telemanagement server and communicates with the NM Quad Probes. The users use a web browser to operate the system. Same user-interface as the Arptel TCS system.
